How to use this site

This directory is free. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy here. Here is how to find what you need.

1. 1. Start with what is worrying you

   On the home page, pick the card that sounds most like your situation — safety at home, memory, everyday life, feeling alone, or planning ahead. You do not need to know any technology words.

2. 2. Or type it in your own words

   Use the search box at the top of every page. Words like “falling”, “pills”, or “lonely” work fine. Spelling does not have to be perfect.

3. 3. Answer three questions

   If you are not sure where to begin, choose “Help Me Choose”. It asks three simple questions and then shows you a short list.

4. 4. Ask the assistant

   The green “Ask a question” button at the bottom of the screen answers using only the companies listed here. It will tell you honestly when this directory has nothing for your question.

5. 5. Make the words bigger

   Use the “Text Size” buttons at the top. Your choice is remembered on every page until you change it.

6. 6. Visit a company

   Each company has one button that opens its own website in a new tab. Nothing is bought or signed up for on this site.
